This is the port Augusta "Train station". Catch road trains to Darwin and Perth, or the other way to Sydney, Adelaide, etc. If going North or West, don't settle for anything less than a ride all the way to where you are going. Good luck. This spot is excellent, compared with elsewhere in Australia.―Anonymous

Good spot to be picked up. From here you will want to be going all the way to Coober Pedy. I waited 20mins here before getting a lift. Ended up camping with the lady half way then made it to Coober Pedy next morning―Anonymous
